Rasmussen: 56% Put Border Control As First Priority

Rasmussen Reports: Today, Sunday August 12, 2012, most voters continue as they have for years to put border control ahead of legalizing the illegal immigrants already in this country.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% of Likely U.S. Voters think gaining control of the border is more important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers already living here. Thirty-five percent (35%) put legalizing the status of undocumented workers first. ( Read More).

I really don't care that an illegal has been a "model" citizen. There are plenty of wanted fugitives behaving while being pursued by law enforcement. I believe that people who believe that illegals "would make good citizens" seen to forget several facts. #1 if they were so good why did they not wait and immigrate legally.#2. If they weren't involved in changing their own governments how can you expect them to be involved in ours in a positive way.#3. I am tired of hearing that they are just trying to provide for their families; which one the one they have here that is being tax payer supported or the one they left in another country. #4. If they truly believe that America is great why don't they learn Her History, obey Her laws, speak Her language!
