Scholarship Program Just for Illinois ILLEGALS Begins

Via One Old Vet Rare Illinois Scholarship for Undocumented Immigrants to Begin Taking Applications

Thousands of immigrants in Illinois – mostly undocumented – are expected to begin applying Thursday financial aid for college through a privately-funded state scholarship program.

Immigrants can apply for tuition help to attend Illinois colleges and universities because of the Illinois DREAM Fund, which was created by state legislation passed in 2011.

When 24-year-old Rigoberto Padilla first enrolled in one of Chicago’s community colleges in 2007, there were few financial aid options available for undocumented immigrants like him.
