Sarah Palin Tweets Rubio '30 Pieces Of Silver' On Immigration'

by TEA Party, The Examiner: [Excerpt] On Friday, President Obama called Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., to congratulate him on passage of the Gang of Eight immigration bill many conservatives say gives amnesty to illegal immigrants while ensuring one-party rule in Washington. Although Rubio did not answer the call, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin blasted the Florida Republican using a biblical reference to Judas Iscariot on Twitter.

"'Obama Calls Rubio to Congratulate Him on Immigration Reform' http://shar.es/xLWXm ...Hope it was worth 30 pieces of silver," she tweeted.

On Thursday, the Senate voted to pass the measure with an overwhelming 68-32 vote. Fourteen Republicans -- including Rubio -- joined with every Democrat present in voting for the amended bill.

Palin also warned House Republicans not to pass the Senate bill on Facebook.

"Great job, GOP establishment," she wrote. "You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks." [Fact Check: The majority of Republican (38) including all the Senate Republican leadership voted against the amnesty bill.]

Palin also said that Republicans did not lose the 2012 election due to the Hispanic vote.

Instead, she said Republicans lost working-class voters in swing states.

She also said Republicans "disrespect" Hispanic voters by assuming they want to ignore the rule of law. ...
