"The Borders Are Quite Secure" Congressman Pete Stark's Town Hall Meeting in Fremont CA

The video is from Congressman Pete Stark's Town Hall meeting last Saturday (June 26, 2010). He made some pretty dumb comments as he mocked me including "the borders are quite secure", but it backfired on him.

Why is California Congressman Pete Stark, in Congress for 38 years, still in Congress? He is a most insulting person living the public dole! He's well past doing an effective job representing and protecting Americans. He is totally oblivious to the dangers presently occurring on the Southern border.

Obama Ignores Oil Spill & US Border Invasion While "Fiddling Around" & Pushing Climate Change Bill

Bill Smith, Editor, ARRA news Service: It used to be many people but now it is "most people" who are wondering where the President Obama's head and heart is these days. It doesn't appear to the majority of Americans that he values "down to earth" good old America - our country. Yesterday, we note another example of Obama's lack of focus on what really matters:
ABC News' Matthew Jaffe reported: In the wake of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, President Obama today summoned a bipartisan group of over 20 senators to the White House to push for energy and climate change legislation.

But one thing the President did not want to talk about at the meeting was the BP disaster, a Republican source told ABC News. And that, the source said, led to a pointed exchange with GOP senator Lamar Alexander from Tennessee.

"The priority should be fixing the oil spill," Alexander told the President, according to the source. “That's what any meeting about energy should be about.”

But when Alexander tried to interject the BP leak into the meeting, the source said, the President told the senator, "That's just your talking point." Retorted Alexander, "No, it's my opinion." . . . [Full Story]
Arrogance abounds in the White House. American is suffering while President Obama "Fiddles Around" in the White House, on the golf course, or jetting around the globe trying to impress global dignitaries, and constantly campaigning. Wonder when he will ever visit the US Border with Mexico! We are under armed attack. People are being murdered and raped by invaders on American soil. I never thought I would find my self saying anything good about disgraced former president Jimmy Carter. But here goes: At least Carter showed some good old Southern grace while screwing over America.

Maywood, California Might As Well Be Maywood, Mexico

Maywood, California has transformed itself into Maywood, Mexico and the Obama Administration could care less. Maywood has a population of 30,000, 97% are Hispanic, half are foreign born and a good portion are illegal aliens. Maywood declared itself a sanctuary city and closed its traffic division at the urging of illegal aliens and their supporters after too many cars were being towed because those stopped didn't have driver's licenses. There are also pushes in the community to rename elementary schools after former Mexican President Benito Juarez. Is there any wonder now that the city. Maywood is in trouble and now is on the verge of bankruptcy and is closing government agencies. Roger Hedgecock reports in Human Events:
Boasting a population that is 97% Hispanic, more than half foreign born, and 40% illegal, the Los Angeles County, Calif., incorporated city of Maywood has achieved the Reconquista goal. It is now as lawless and chaotic as any place in Mexico. Maywood is a warning to every city and town in America.

The Maywood City Council announced this week that after years of radical policies, corruption and scandal, the city was broke and all city employees would be laid off and essential city services contracted out to neighboring cities or to L.A. County government.

How did this happen? Until recently, Maywood was the model for "brown power" politics.

Maywood was the first California city with an elected Hispanic City Council, one of the first "sanctuary" cities for illegal aliens, the first city to pass a resolution calling for a boycott of Arizona after that state passed a law to enforce federal immigration laws, the first California city to order its police department not to enforce state laws requiring drivers to have licenses to drive, the first American city to call on Congress to grant amnesty to all illegals.

Council meetings were conducted in Spanish. Maywood was the leader in the peaceful, democratic achievement of the La Raza goal to take power in the U.S.

The City of Maywood started out quite differently. Back after World War II, Maywood was a booming blue-collar town with good jobs, a multi-ethnic suburb of Los Angeles. On the 25th anniversary in 1949 of Maywood's incorporation as a city, the town celebrated with a beard-growing contest, a rodeo, and wrestling matches in City Park. Chrysler operated an assembly plant there until 1971.

But the early 1970s saw these industrial jobs in aerospace, auto and furniture manufacturing, and food processing evaporate under the pressure of higher taxes, increased local and state regulation, and the attraction of cheaper land and cheaper labor elsewhere. The multi-ethnic Maywood of the post-war years was transformed in the ’80s and ’90s by wave after wave of Hispanic immigrants, many of them illegal.

In August 2006, a "Save Our State" anti-illegal immigration rally in Maywood drew hundreds of protesters—but a larger number of defenders of illegal immigration. The pro-illegal protesters carried signs which read "We are Indigenous ! The ONLY owners of this Continent!" and "Racist Pilgrims Go Home" and "All Europeans are Illegal Here." According to newspaper reports at the time, objectors to illegal aliens were subject to physical attacks. A 70-year-old man was "slashed," a woman attacked, and cars vandalized. Pro-illegal demonstrators raised the Mexican flag at the U.S. Post Office.

The illegal population and their sympathizers became increasingly radicalized. Elections to the City Council saw "assimilationist" incumbent Hispanic council members ousted by La Raza supporting radical challengers. For years, the Maywood City Council authorized police checkpoints to stop drunk driving. Drivers without licenses had their cars impounded. Illegals in California cannot get drivers licenses. By 2005, the number of such impounds were in the hundreds. A community campaign was launched forcing the City Council to suspend the checkpoints.

Cars were still being impounded whenever a police traffic-violation stop resulted in a driver without a license. Felipe Aguirre, a community activist with Comite Pro-Uno, an "immigration service center," coordinated a new campaign against any impounds. He was elected in 2005 to the City Council. He is the mayor of Maywood today.

Aguirre and a new majority of the council dismantled the Traffic Department. Illegals were given overnight-parking permits and impounds stopped. You didn't need a license to drive in Maywood. The Los Angeles Times wrote glowingly of this "progress" in a story entitled "Welcome to Maywood, Where Roads Open Up For Immigrants".

The Maywood Police Department was restructured by the new council. A new chief and new officers were hired. Later it turned out that many of the new officers had previously been fired from other law enforcement agencies for a variety of infractions. The Maywood P.D. was known as the "Department of Second Chances."

Among those hired was a former L.A. Sheriff's deputy terminated for abusing jail inmates; a former LAPD officer fired for intimidating a witness; and an ex-Huntington Park officer charged with negligently discharging a handgun and driving drunk. Even the L.A. Times called the Maywood Police Department a "haven for misfit cops." Their story alleged that a veteran officer was extorting sex from relatives of a criminal fugitive; that another officer tried to run over the president of the Maywood Police Commission; and that another officer has impregnated a teenage police-explorer scout.

Charges of corruption and favoritism led to one recall of city council members and threats of more recalls are heard to this day. Maywood is represented in the state Senate by Democrat "One Bill" Gil Cedillo. He earned the nickname by introducing every year in the state legislature a bill to grant drivers licenses to illegals. Maywood is represented in Congress by Democrat Lucille Roybal-Allard, a staunch advocate of amnesty for illegals.

Today, Maywood is broke. Its police department dismantled along with all other city departments and personnel. Only the city council remains and a city manager to manage the contracts with other agencies for city services in Maywood.

Maywood is the warning of what happens when illegal immigrants, resisting assimilation as Americans, bring with their growing numbers the corruption and the radical politics of their home countries. Add the radical home-grown anti-Americanism of Hispanic "leaders" and groups like La Raza and you get schools where learning is replaced with indoctrination, business and jobs replaced by welfare and gangs, and a poisonous stew of entitlement politics.

In too many American communities, this sad tale is all too familiar.

Brewer to Obama: Warning Signs Are Not Enough

SecureTheBorderAZ Video: Earlier this month, Governor Jan Brewer sat in the Oval Office with President Barack Obama to discuss the critical issue of border security. The Governor personally related to the President the concerns of millions of Arizonans over the lack of security on Arizona's southern border. During their visit, President Obama committed to present details, within two weeks of their meeting, regarding his plans to commit National Guard troops to the Arizona border and commit to spend $500 million in additional funds on border security.

Governor Brewer remains eager to receive the specific details of President Obama's border security plans. She continues to extend an invitation to the President to visit with families living along the southwestern border and see the situation firsthand. [Video]

The Price of Admission – Wilderness Rape Trees

Warning: Not recommended for children! H/T People for Preserving Our Western Heritage: [Truth On The Border Video] Rape Trees in the Arizona wilderness represent unimaginable violent crime against women. Our wilderness, national wildlife refuges, monuments and other federal lands along the Arizona border are becoming havens for criminal activity due to drug and human smuggling cartels that now own these areas. Law enforcement is minimal due to environmental regulations. We must secure our borders and get law enforcement in these areas.

Mexican Gangs Permanent Lookouts in Hills of Arizona

The following is a prior story by Adam Housley for Fox News:
Mexican drug cartels have set up shop on American soil, maintaining lookout bases in strategic locations in the hills of southern Arizona from which their scouts can monitor every move made by law enforcement officials, federal agents tell Fox News. The scouts are supplied by drivers who bring them food, water, batteries for radios -- all the items they need to stay in the wilderness for a long time.

“To say that this area is out of control is an understatement," said an agent who patrols the area and asked not to be named. "We (federal border agents), as well as the Pima County Sheriff Office and the Bureau of Land Management, can attest to that.” Much of the drug traffic originates in the Menagers Dam area, the Vekol Valley, Stanfield and around the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation. It even follows a natural gas pipeline that runs from Mexico into Arizona.

In these areas, which are south and west of Tucson, sources said there are “cartel scouts galore” watching the movements of federal, state and local law enforcement, from the border all the way up to Interstate 8. “Every night we’re getting beaten like a pinata at a birthday party by drug, alien smugglers," a second federal agent told Fox News by e-mail. "The danger is out there, with all the weapons being found coming northbound…. someone needs to know about this!”

The agents blame part of their plight on new policies from Washington, claiming it has put a majority of the U.S. agents on the border itself. One agent compared it to a short-yardage defense in football, explaining that once the smugglers and drug-runners break through the front line, they're home free. “We are unable to work any traffic, because they have us forward deployed," the agent said. "We are unable to work the traffic coming out of the mountains. That traffic usually carries weapons and dope, too, again always using stolen vehicles.”

The Department of Homeland Security denies it has ordered any major change in operations or any sort of change in forward deployment. “The Department of Homeland Security has dedicated unprecedented manpower, technology and infrastructure resources to the Southwest border over the course of the past 16 months," DHS spokesman Matt Chandler said. "Deployment of CBP/Border Patrol and ICE personnel to various locations throughout the Southwest border is based on actionable intelligence and operational need, not which elected official can yell the loudest.”

While agents in the area agree that southwest Arizona has been a trouble spot for more than a decade, many believe Washington and politicians “who come here for one-day visit” aren’t seeing the big picture. They say the area has never been controlled and has suddenly gotten worse, with the cartels maintaining a strong presence on U.S. soil. More than ever, agents on the front lines are wearing tactical gear, including helmets, to protect themselves.

“More than 4,000 of these agents are deployed in Arizona," Chandler says. "The strategy to secure our nation’s borders is based on a 'defense in depth' philosophy, including the use of interior checkpoints, like the one on FR 85 outside Ajo, to interdict threats attempting to move from the border into the interior of our nation.”

Without placing direct fault on anyone, multiple agents told Fox that the situation is more dangerous for them than ever now that the cartels have such a strong position on the American side of the border. They say morale is down among many who patrol the desolate area, and they worry that the situation won't change until an agent gets killed.

Wilderness Threatens Border Security

H/T People for Preserving Our Western Heritage: [Truth On The Border Video] The Department of Interior has actually put up vehicle barriers to keep the Border Patrol OUT of some DOI controlled lands. Federal Wilderness designation has a significant impact on the ability of the Border Patrol to effectively control crime, due to the numerous restrictions imposed. Our wilderness, national wildlife refuges, monuments and other federal lands along the Arizona border are becoming havens for criminal activity due to drug and human smuggling cartels that now "own" these areas. Border Wilderness - Too Dangerous For The Public

H/T People for Preserving Our Western Heritage: [Truth On The Border Video] The US no longer controls many wilderness, park, monument and wildlife refuges along our southern border. Drug cartels control these areas. Land designations have a significant impact on the ability of the Border Patrol to effectively control crime, due to the numerous restrictions imposed, such as no use of motorized vehicles and no mechanized equipment. Our wilderness, national wildlife refuges, monuments and other federal lands along the Arizona border are becoming havens for criminal activity due to drug and human smuggling cartels that now "own" these areas. They understand the severe restrictions on Border Patrol and law enforcement, and it makes these areas very "criminal friendly". We must secure our borders and get law enforcement in these areas. Wilderness on the border does not make sense. it is time to secure our borders.

Recent Crimes Committed In Arkansas By Illegal Aliens

Secure Arkansas has identified three known recent crimes committed in Arkansas by Illegal Aliens.

Man charged in fatal wreck By Gavin Lesnick - Thursday, June 17, 2010:
LITTLE ROCK - A driver who police say caused a wreck that killed a Faulkner County man Monday night has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and negligent homicide, prosecutors said Thursday.

Guadalupe Lopez, 32, was behind the wheel of a Ford Taurus that forced a Ford van driven by 37-year-old Gary Harp off of Interstate 40 shortly after 8 p.m. near Mayflower, Arkansas State Police said. Harp reportedly over-corrected, sending his vehicle toppling off the roadway and into a ditch. He was killed after being partially ejected.

Police, who had received reports of the Taurus driving erratically, tracked it to Lopez' residence in Conway within hours of the wreck. There, police spoke with Lopez and determined he had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, said Twentieth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden.

Lopez made no attempt to stop, Vaden said, and a search of his car also yielded a small amount of methamphetamine.

"(Harp) was just driving down the road, minding his own business, apparently a law-abiding citizen doing a lawful activity and he was killed," Vaden said. "He virtually got the death penalty from a situation that was not an accident. It was a needless situation to occur."

Investigators say Lopez, who was also driving without a license and without insurance, is an illegal immigrant. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement has reportedly begun a deportation process on him.

"This is a tragic case and on behalf of my office I want to express my deepest sympathies to the family of the victim," Vaden said in a statement. "While I am pleased the deportation process is proceeding, it is important to note that the State of Arkansas has every intention of prosecuting and punishing Mr. Lopez before he leaves this country." Lopez is being held in the Faulkner County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
ROGERS Brothers, 28 and 34, stabbed in fight at residence; one dies by Richard Massey - Saturday, June 19, 2010
ROGERS - Police are searching for several suspects in the fatal stabbing of a Rogers man early Friday.

Samuel Little, 28, was stabbed to death during an altercation shortly after midnight, according to a news release issued by the Rogers police. His brother, Christian Little, 34, also of Rogers, was stabbed during the same fight. He is in critical condition at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, according to the statement.

Friday morning, what appeared to be blood was splattered across the front door, the front walkway and the driveway at 1712 S. H St., where the fight occurred. A dog looked out the front window of the home while a television news crew knocked on the door. An inoperable vehicle, along with children's toys, acooler and toolbox, were in the front yard.

Neighbors said they didn't see the stabbing but saw the swarm of police cars parked near the home after the killing. A neighbor who did not want to give his name described the household as "rowdy," and said he sees a lot of people coming and going from the home. The neighbor said he did not know how many people lived at the house.

The suspects were described as a Hispanic male, about 5-feet-8, and "multiple other Hispanic males" who fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police, according to the release.

Rogers police said officers responded to a midnight disturbance at the residence. According to the news release, two residents were standing outside the home when three men arrived. One of them urinated in the yard and a fight ensued.

Around 12:42 a.m., police responded to another call at the residence. Police discovered the Little brothers had been stabbed, according to the release. The Littles were taken to Mercy, where the younger brother was pronounced dead.
Traffic stop nets meth; three illegal aliens held ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE - June 24, 2010
A traffic stop last week led to the arrest of three illegal aliens on drug charges, 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden said in a news release. Officers from the Van Buren County sheriff's office, Arkansas State Police and the 20th Judicial District Drug Task Force found methamphetamine during the Friday traffic stop, Vaden said.

David F. Tinajero, 30, and passenger Luis Lopez-Sanabia, 29, were taken into custody after the stop on U.S. 65, north of Bee Branch in Van Buren County. Search warrants were then obtained for their Mount Vernon home and for the El Indio Mexican store in Rose Bud.

At the home, agents said they found more methamphetamine, a handgun and a stolen motorcycle. Methamphetamine was also found at the store, along with another handgun and about $5,000 in cash, the news release said. The store owner, Jose "Carlos" Montalvan, 51, was also taken into custody. Tinajero, Lopez-Sanabia and Montalvan face Class Y felony drug charges, which are punishable by 10 to 40 years to life in prison, Vaden said in the release. Bail for each man was set at $1 million, Vaden said in a second news release.

Mexico asks court to reject Arizona immigration law

Paul Davenport of the Phoenix AP reports that: Mexico is asking a federal court in Arizona to declare the state's new immigration law unconstitutional. Lawyers for Mexico on Tuesday submitted a legal brief in support of a lawsuit challenging the law.

The law generally requires police investigating another incident or crime to ask people about their immigration status if there's a "reasonable suspicion" they're in the country illegally. It also makes being in Arizona illegally a misdemeanor, and it prohibits seeking day-labor work along the state's streets.

Mexico says its interest is in having consistent relations with the United States shouldn't be frustrated by one state. Mexico also says it has a legitimate interest in defending its citizens' rights and that the law would lead to racial profiling.
Bill Smith, ARRA News Editor: When did Mexican officials become so brazen that they believe they have a right to interfere in matters between the Sovereign State of Arizona and the United States? While President Obama is busy being offended by a Rolling stones article, he yields to the effrontery of Mexico claiming all Hispanics in the United States as it's citizens.

The legal citizen's of the United States who just happen to be of Mexican heritage are not residents of Mexico. Those who are citizens by naturalization have taken an oath of allegiance to the United States of America. As for those here legally on work permits or temporary visa, they have nothing to fear from the United States but may well be in fear their home country - Mexico - where people are terrorized in their homes by drug cartels and at times by the their government.

As for those Mexican citizens who are in the U.S. illegally, it is very clear that neither the President of Mexico nor the Mexican government has been able to stop them from leaving (often fleeing) Mexico. In fact, the Mexican president has called all Mexicans living outside of Mexico migrants (unless they work for their government). The Mexican Government relies on the money being sent back to Mexico by illegals (and even legal residents) to their extended families. Mexico has been unable to provide jobs, protection and resources for Mexican citizens in Mexico. In addition, the Mexican government has not controlled the drug cartels in Mexico and the government is often seen as being in support of these cartels.

We hope the Federal Judge will see Mexico's legal brief for what it is 1) of no merit and 2) interference in the sovereign affairs of the Arizona and the United States.

Obama WH to illegals: We’ll help you get paid fairly

by Ed Morrissey, Hot Air: Via FoxNation, behold the most tone-deaf public-service announcement — yet — from the Obama administration. The US government occasionally conducts raids on employers who hire illegal immigrants as workers, even during Barack Obama’s term of office. Now suddenly Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis has established a hotline number, not for people to tip the government to employers breaking the law, but to act as an agent for illegals to make sure they get paid “fairly”: [View video]

Does it occur to the White House at all that “undocumented” workers are breaking the law themselves? They shouldn’t be exploited, but then again, they shouldn’t be here to be exploited, either. At the same time that the Obama administration contemplates a lawsuit against Arizona to stop them from enforcing immigration law, they’re working on a program that supports the people breaking that law, all while unemployment continues at a high rate long after their stimulus plans have run aground. Instead of enforcing the law – which is, after all, the raison d’être of the executive branch — they’re conspiring to help people break it, and with our tax dollars, no less.

Of course, this could be an elaborate ruse to find new sites to raid.  The political fallout from that would be fun to watch, but alas, it seems that despite the cheesy graphics and extraordinarily bad concept, Obama and his team are serious about helping illegal immigrants get paid more for their work.

Update: Stephen Gutowski reports that this is a work-around for a Supreme Court decision that ruled that illegal immigrants don’t have standing to fight wage issues:

Basically they know that they’re violating the intention of the supreme court’s ruling in Hoffman Plastics but they don’t give a damn. They throw up the weak argument the ruling only applied to the specific law that was addressed in the case. However, I think the court is clearly saying that the government can’t force employers to pay wages that couldn’t have been legally earned in the first place.

This all makes me wonder if Obama’s DOL is going to make sure that drug dealers are paid a “fair” wage by the gangs that employ them? I mean is that not the same situation? An employer which knowingly illegally employs someone and exploits them?

Will Obama’s DOL make sure all people illegally employed are paid a “fair” wage or just the ones whose political cause they support? And even if they do try to help all people employed illegally does that make it any better? How can anybody justify any of this as a good idea?
The only interest that the government should have is enforcing the border and immigration laws.

War on the Southern Border (Part Two)

Support our Border States
USA Acquisition Of Southern States

by Major Gen. Paul E. Vallely, Stand Up America: (Read Part 1)

Population of Americas on the border:
California: 36.9 million
Arizona: 6.6 Million
New Mexico: 2 Millionb
Texas: 24.8 Million
Total:> 70.3 Million American citizens live in the border states and are at risk!

What to do: It is now time to enforce the rule-of-law along our southern borders. No more excuses…no more delays more politics., no more kowtowing to special interest groups, or claims by open-border believers and LaRaza. The fact is, the Citizens of the USA are in daily danger and are being killed because the border states of Mexico are controlled by thugs. Once again, the entire area is festooned with upheaval, violence, and lawlessness as it was in 1846. The northern states in Mexico; Baja California Norte, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas are under rogue control, and the Mexican Police and Army cannot control them.

Therefore, it is in the National interest of the United States to restore order because of this clear and present danger to US Citizens and our economy. If our Federal Government will not execute an operational plan to secure our southern borders then the States and the people must do it. However, let me provide an executable plan of operations for the Federal Government to undertake with resolve and commitment to protect and secure the American people.

The problems on and across our southern borders of California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas are in the news every day. You would have to live in a perpetual cave not to know the situation. We have a war of gigantic proportions…illegal invasions, treacherous drug cartels, gangs, human trafficking, drugs (is there not a war on drugs???), smuggling, kidnappings, and corruption of officials on both sides of the borders. Now if I were the Commander-in-Chief, I would be on a war-footing and I would have my military commanders planning and executing a strategy that will defeat swiftly and decisively these cancerous enemies and bring the border under control.

The plan is basic and advanced unconventional/conventional war planning. This combines the best use of our Forces that will encompass intelligence, targeting, structural organization of our forces to accomplish the mission, base operations, offensive and defensive operations. First, organize three (3) Border Task Force Groups (BTFGs) and position them in three operational bases, one in Texas, one to be in Arizona and one in Southern California.

We have existing bases in those states that can be use. There is no requirement to create any new bases. I will not name these existing bases because of operational security but Department of Defense can easily figure this out! The BTFGs will be organized based on joint task forces of Special Ops, Army, Air Force and Navy. Selected units and personal will be relocated and moved to these designated bases.

There will be approximately 5,000 warriors assigned to each BTFG. The organization will be commanded by a Two Star “Warrior” and each of the three BTFGs will be commanded by Brigadier General. The mission for the Command will be to target and conduct offensive and defensive operations on the Mexican side of the border. National Guard, Border Patrol, DEA, and local sheriffs units will conduct border security operations on the United States side of the border. This initiative does not violate any existing Posse Comitatus laws.

The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction, with the intention (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) of substantially limiting the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The Act prohibits most members of the federal uniformed services (today the Army, Navy, Air Force, and State National Guard forces when such are called into federal service) from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain “law and order” on non-federal property (states and their counties and municipal divisions) within the United States.

The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Coast Guard is exempt from the Act.

The National Guard will be the asset of the State Governors to be used as required to augment the Active Force BTFGs operations on the US side of the border. Remove Homeland Security Department from this action completely. Maximum use must be made of our Special Operators, Delta Force, Special Forces, Seals, AF Special Ops, Rangers, Marine Recon and Special Ops Air Assets and augmented by Active Force regular Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force.

The concerns and anxiety of Americans, particularly in the Border States have grown significantly in the past year. Governor Jan Brewer has had to take extraordinary legislative action to help rectify the situation and we applaud her and others in Arizona for their initiative and courage. Changes in law enforcement operations have forced smugglers of drugs and illegal aliens into ever more isolated areas, increasing the number of deaths and the level of violence to a point where even the most hardened enforcement officials are alarmed.

The number of arrests made by Border Patrol agents is one of the few reliable measurements of the rising influx. That number dropped right after 9/11, but it has since been climbing. In fact, the cost of protecting the nation's borders has increased 58 percent since 9/11, but in three of the four years since the attacks, the number of people nabbed by the Border Patrol still increased. In the fiscal year that ended in September, the Border Patrol reported 1.19 million arrests, compared with 932,000 in fiscal year 2003. The Pew Hispanic Center estimates that the number of illegal immigrants in the United States has grown from 8.4 million in 2000 to 15 million today.

The political ferment over illegals has never been greater. 78 percent of Americans think and know that the government is not doing enough to control our borders; talk shows bristle with demands for action. Additionally, Global jihad and jihadis are a major threat as they eye the southern border as a path of least resistance to strike inside the United States of America.

We must act NOW for the welfare and security of our precious nation.

Kyl says Obama said no border security for political reasons

On June 18, 2010, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience at a North Tempe Tea Party town hall meeting that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office, the President told him, regarding securing the southern border with Mexico, "The problem is, . . . if we secure the border, then you all [the Republicans] won't have any reason to support 'comprehensive immigration reform.'" [Audible gasps were heard throughout the audience.] Sen. Kyl continued, "In other words, they're holding it hostage. They don't want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with 'comprehensive immigration reform.'"

Sen. Kyl also said he reminded President Obama that the President and the Congress has an obligation, a duty, to secure the border. [HT SheriffJoeSupporter Posted Video]

Hillary: White House will Sue AZ Over Illegal-Immigration Law Governor Jan Brewer Learns of President’s Directive to Sue Arizona via Ecuadorean Television Interview

PHOENIX – Governor Jan Brewer said she was stunned and angered to learn during an Ecuadorean television interview with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the Obama Administration had decided to sue Arizona over its recently passed anti-illegal immigration law, SB1070. Secretary Clinton announced during the interview on June 8th that President Obama has directed the U.S. Justice Department to “bring a lawsuit against the Arizona law.” “This is no way to treat the people of Arizona,” said Governor Brewer. “To learn of this lawsuit through an Ecuadorean interview with the Secretary of State is just outrageous. If our own government intends to sue our state to prevent illegal immigration enforcement, the least it can do is inform us before it informs the citizens of another nation.”

New Arizona Law Taking Aim at Anchor Babies

Countryboy1949: We have somehow come today to believe that anyone born within the geographical limits of the U.S. is automatically subject to its jurisdiction. But this renders the jurisdiction clause utterly superfluous and without force. If this had been the intention of the framers of the Fourteenth Amendment, presumably they would simply have said that all persons born or naturalized in the United States are thereby citizens.

US Citizens Warned To Avoid Arizona Border Areas

Fox News confirms that Arizona Sheriff has confirmed that a large region of Arizona has been posted warnig American legal citizens of illegals and criminal activities from South of the Border invading the area.

countryboy1949's YouTube Video link

Borderland Reporter MaryEllen Resendez: CASA GRANDE, AZ - Two men shot earlier this week could be the result of the ongoing battle between Mexican drug cartels now spilling over deep into Arizona, officials say.

Pinal County investigators say an area known as the smuggling corridor now stretches from Mexico's border to metro Phoenix. The area, once an area for family hiking and off road vehicles has government signs warning residents of the drug and human smugglers.

Night vision cameras have photographed cartel members with military arms delivering drugs to vehicles along Highway 8. "We are three counties deep. How is it that you see pictures like these, not American with semi and fully automatic rifles. How is that okay?" asked Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Babeu said he no longer has control over parts of his county. "We are outgunned, we are out manned and we don't have the resources here locally to fight this," he said at a Friday news conference.

Five weeks ago Deputy Louie Puroll was ambushed and shot as he tracked six drug smugglers. Sheriff Babeu said the ambush mirrored military tactics. Even more disturbing, Babeu said the man who called in to 911 operators for help seemed to know a lot about the sheriff deputy's case. "He told operators they could find him where the deputy was shot and talked about our search helicopter. Things that were not talked about on the news," Babeu said.

When operators asked the fatally wounded man how he knew the area, he claimed he sold cantelope near mile post 150. Both men were found dead several hours later.

Detectives say next to them was a Bushmaster automatic rifle used by police officers for patrolling. It does not appear to be stolen. Investigators also revealed that an autopsy showed strap marks on one of the men that likely came from hauling heavy loads, they suspect were drugs. One of the men, deputies say, was voluntarily deported seven times.

Babeu said he doesn't believe the drug cartel problems will not be solved when SB 1070 becomes a law, or with President Obama's promise of 1,200 troops spread out among four border states. "It will fall short. What is truly needed in 3,000 soldiers for Arizona alone," Babeu said.

Steve Hinton Blog comment: "So, our government has surrendered and ceded part of Arizona to the smugglers and cartels of Mexico??? What do you think would happen if signs like this were to be found back East? This is completely uncalled for to let this happen."

AZ Sheriff calls for troops, says cartels now control parts of state

Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu says drug cartels now control parts of Arizona, extending as far as Phoenix. "We are outgunned, we are outmanned, and we don't have the resources here locally to fight this," says Babeu. He is calling for at least 3000 troops to help combat the incursion of smugglers and traffickers armed with military weapons.

Texas Grassroots Speaks Out on Illegal Immigration

Bill Smith, ARRA Editor: Oklahoma led the way in addressing illegal immigration and has built a literal virtual legislative fence around Oklahoma. Then other states awakened to an influx of illegals moving from Oklahoma. For example, Arkansas public school enrollment jumped as illegals fled Oklahoma to Arkansas where Arkansas' former Gov. Mike Huckabee had negotiated and agreement with Mexico to establish a Mexican Consulate. This relationship with Mexico has been continued by Governor Mike Beebe.

Arkansas legislators have failed to stop the run-away costs / spending associated with illegals in Arkansas except for stopping in-state college tuition for illegal aliens. These run-away costs motivated several citizens to call themselves Secure Arkansas and to make an effort in the prior election cycle to get a law on the ballot to force the legislature to address the funding of benefits for illegal immigration in Arkansas. But, delays by the Democratic Attorney General resulted in insufficient time to secure needed signatures to make it on the ballot. Regardless, this situation energized the grassroots to formalize Secure Arkansas into a vocal non-partisan organization to address illegal immigrations and other actions needed to secure and protect legal Arkansas citizens. Presently, Secure Arkansas is pursuing signatures for a new ballot initiative which if passed by the voters would amend the Arkansas Constitution to stop the use of State funds to support individuals who were not lawful residents. If successful, this will be the beginning of an Arkansas virtual fence.

In recent months, we have watched Arizona take action to address and to enforce action regarding lawfully detained individuals who are in Arizona (and thus the United States) illegally. It is already estimated that over 100,000 illegals have fled Arizona for other states - like Texas, Arkansas, Nevada and California - and the new law has not even gone into into effect.

Now we learn of efforts in Texas at least within the grassroots of the Republican Party to address illegal immigration. While these efforts are political and do not signal changes in Austin, they do signal that conservative people are upset and expect change. The Texas Republicans Party is not against legal immigration. But, it is now evident that a majority of non-politicians (the grassroots) understand the devastation being created by the Federal Government in not securing our U.S. borders. The Federal Government is are allowing our country to be invaded by terrorists, criminals and thugs. They are hidden among masses of people fleeing Southern regimes who do not allow for the same freedoms in our country. Illegals are consuming the wealth of America and trespassing on lawful citizen's property rights, jobs, benefits, lives and more. And some of these illegals are willfully seeking to disrupt, attack and destroy America.

From Fox News report - "At Convention, Texas GOP Passes Immigration Plank Similar to Arizona Law":
Fired-up Republican activists in no mood for compromises threw out their party chairwoman Saturday, then bucked Texas Gov. Rick Perry by pushing for a crackdown on illegal immigration similar to Arizona's new law.

Some delegates at the Republican state convention also called for a nonbinding resolution calling on House Republicans to oust their own speaker, Rep. Joe Straus of San Antonio, considered too moderate for many of the bedrock conservatives meeting in Dallas this weekend. Convention organizers ruled the Straus resolution out of order. . . .

The Republican Party platform is a blueprint of the policies that GOP activists want elected officials to pursue. Delegates voted to include a plank advocating for a state law that would bar illegal immigrants from "intentionally or knowingly" living in Texas. Similar to Arizona's strict law that has sparked nationwide debate, the proposal would require local police to verify U.S. residency when making arrests. . . .
At least the members of the Texas Republican Party are sending a simple message to their politicians starting with Governor Perry. The politicians in Austin would do well to remember the quote: "There they go; I must hasten after them for I am their leader." Either that or their days are numbered.

Illegals Flee AZ to Other States - Obama Admin Offers Illegals Art Classes, Bingo, Internet Access, Email & Continental Breakfasts

First noted is that Hispanics moving out of Arizona. Where are they going -- to other states! They are headed first to states like Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Nevada, California, Missouri, and Kansas. They are probably not going to Oklahoma because they have made it clear that they will not support  illegal aliens.  Alan Gomez, USA TODAY writes:
Arizona's tough new immigration enforcement law is fueling an exodus of Hispanics from the state seven weeks before it goes into effect, according to officials and residents in the state. . . . Schools in Hispanic areas report unusual drops in enrollment. The Balsz Elementary School District is 75% Hispanic, and within a month of the law's passage, the parents of 70 students pulled them out of school, said District Superintendent Jeffrey Smith. The district lost seven students over the same period last year, and parents tell Smith the law is the reason for leaving. "They're leaving to another state where they feel more welcome," he said.

The measure, signed into law April 23 by Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, requires a police officer to determine people's immigration status if they are stopped, detained or arrested and there is "reasonable suspicion" they are in the country illegally.

About 100,000 illegal immigrants left Arizona after the state passed a law in 2007 that enhanced penalties on businesses that hired them, according to the Department of Homeland Security. . . .

Juan Carlos Cruz, an illegal immigrant who has worked in plant nurseries for 20 years, plans to move. "If I were alone, I'd try to stay. But I have a family, and I have to find a place where we can live with more freedom," Cruz said.

Brewer spokesman Paul Senseman said it's difficult to gauge how many people are leaving because of the law. "If ... fewer people are breaking the law, that is absolutely an accomplishment," he said.

We also learned a couple days ago that President Obama's administration is making life easier for detained illegal aliens with your tax dollars. Why didn't he finish building the fence with our tax dollars?

It looks like President Barack Obama is bowing to the concerns of Mexican President Felipe Calderon who sees all Mexicans leaving Mexico as migrants and all people except Mexican citizens entering Mexico as illegals. We now learn that illegals in ICE detention centers will have amenities not even offered troops on the front lines or offered to detained but non-convicted legal residents. ICE detention centers exist to hold, process and return illegals to their home countries. While some may be being held for criminal processing, the fact is in any case illegals could not be receiving amenities beyond there meals and a cot and fast deportation processing. Mexico isn't offering these amenities for illegals being held in their jails and prisons.

Susan Carroll of the Houston Chronicle reports:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials are preparing to roll out a series of changes at several privately owned immigration detention centers, including relaxing some security measures for low-risk detainees and offering art classes, bingo and continental breakfast on the weekends. . . .

In addition to “softening the look of the facility” with hanging plants and offering fresh carrot sticks, ICE will allow for the “free movement” of low-risk detainees, expand visiting hours and provide unmonitored phone lines. ICE officials said the changes are part of broader efforts to make the immigration detention system less penal and more humane. . . .

But the plans are prompting protests by ICE's union leaders, who say they will jeopardize the safety of agents, guards and detainees and increase the bottom line for taxpayers. Tre Rebstock, president for Local 3332, the ICE union in Houston, likened the changes to creating “an all-inclusive resort” for immigration detainees. . . .

Other major changes include:
• Eliminating lockdowns and lights-out for low-risk detainees.
• Allowing visitors to stay as long as they like in a 12-hour period.
• Providing a unit manger so detainees have someone to report problems to other than the guard.
• Allowing low-risk detainees to wear their own clothing or other non-penal attire.
• Providing e-mail access and Internet-based free phone service.

ICE officials have faced pressure from immigrant advocates and some members of Congress to improve the detention conditions for the roughly 400,000 immigrants it houses annually. . . .

At the CCA facilities that have agreed to ICE's changes, detainees will see more variety in their dining hall menus and have self-serve beverage and fresh vegetable bars. CCA also plans to offer movie nights, bingo, arts and crafts, dance and cooking classes, tutoring and computer training, the e-mail states.

Detainees also will be allowed four hours or more of recreation “in a natural setting, allowing for robust aerobic exercise.” CCA also committed to improving the look of the facilities, such as requiring plants, fresh paint and new bedding in lower-risk units. . . .

“My grandparents would have loved to have bingo night and a dance class at the retirement home they were in when they passed away, but that was something we would have had to pay for,” [Rebstock ] said. “And yet these guys are getting it on the taxpayers' dime.”

Mexican prez slams death of migrant at US border

MEXICO CITY (AP) - President Felipe Calderon said Monday that the death of a Mexican migrant after being shot with a stun gun by a U.S. immigration officer was an unacceptable human rights violation. Migrant Anastasio Hernandez was shocked by a Customs and Border Protection agent May 31 at the San Ysidro border crossing between Tijuana and San Diego. A U.S. coroner has ruled the death a homicide.

Calderon said he wanted to repeat Mexico's "energetic protest of the torture and death of Anastasio Hernandez, a Mexico who died at the hands of North American migration authorities." He later added that authorities would have to clarify whether the death involved torture or took place while bringing Hernandez under submission.

"But a death with that degree of violence is a truly unacceptable violation," Calderon said. "We need to raise all our voices, not only for Mexico but for human rights, because the cause of migrants is a cause that affects us all." . . . Calderon also repeated Mexico's criticism of the proposed Arizona migration law, saying it "opens a Pandora's Box of the worst abuses in the history of humanity" by promoting racial profiling and potentially leading to an authoritarian society.
Not once does Mexico's president acknowledge that US Law enforcement may have had justified reasons to use a Stun gun to stop Anastasio Hernandez. In addition, he attempts to tie they Arizona immigration law to this situation. The law was not in effect when this event occurred and the law has no relevance as this situation occurred in a confrontation with US Federal law enforcement.

Also, Hernandez was NOT a Mexican "migrant"to the United States. He was an illegal alien. In his speech to a Joint Session of the US Congress, Calderon tried to label all Mexicans who enter the US as "migrants." To Calderon all people entering the US illegally are migrants but those persons entering Mexico illegally are illegals.

In an official statement, Jacqueline Dizdu, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman, said that Anastasio Hernandez had gotten violent with US officials as they prepared to hand him over to the Mexican government after he had entered the United States illegally. Dizdu says that after Hernandez had been given several warnings, US border patrol agents used a stun gun to subdue him.

The same thing that would have been done to any American citizen in lawful custody if they became violent. Hernandez entered the US illegally and was not shot or tortured. He was being returned to Mexico when he became violent and suffered the consequences of being treated just like any other American by law enforcement officials. President Felipe Calderon thug police would have done much more to an illegal in Mexico.

Gallup Poll: 6.2 Million Mexicans Want to Move to U.S.

( – A new poll shows 6.2 million Mexicans would like to move permanently to the United States if they could – almost half the 14 million Mexicans who said they would like to move outside of their native country. . . .

Gallup compiled a list of the top 10 countries by highest projected population of potential migrants who say they would like to move to the United States. That list also includes: China (22.9 million), India (17.1 million), Nigeria (16.6 million), Ethiopia (9.2 million), Bangladesh (7.8 million), Brazil (7.7 million), Philippines (5.8 million), Vietnam (5 million), and Japanese (3.3 million).

Gallup concluded that if all adults worldwide who said they would like to move to another country actually did so, the U.S. could see a net population gain of 60 percent. On the other hand, Mexico could see net population losses as high as 15 percent.

According to Gallup, the survey is considered to be significant, because even though the results show people’s aspirations rather than intentions, it is an important consideration for world leaders who want to proactively manage migration and migrant policy in their countries. . . . [Full Story]

Obama challenges (another) Arizona immigration law in Supreme Court!

Take ActionALERT! Obama challenges (another) Arizona immigration law in Supreme Court!

Not content with criticism and threats against Arizona's new immigration law, the Obama Administration has asked the Supreme Court to overturn rulings by lower courts that upheld a previous Arizona law allowing the state to revoke the business licenses of employers who intentionally or knowingly hire illegal aliens. The Legal Arizona Workers Act, which passed in 2007 and took effect Jan. 1st, 2008, allows the state to suspend or revoke the business licenses of employers that violate the law.

A three-judge panel of the most liberal Court of Appeals in the U.S., the Ninth Circuit, unanimously upheld the constitutionality of the Legal Arizona Workers Act. The panel rejected the plaintiffs' claims that the act violated the supremacy and due process clauses of the U.S. Constitution.

Attorney General Holder and DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano vociferously criticized Arizona's new immigration law, and then admitted they had not read the bill. Now Obama is seeking to overturn a law Arizona passed in 2007. Tell President Obama to butt out of state efforts to assist in enforcing immigration law, efforts made necessary by the failure of the federal government.

ACTION NEEDED: Ask President Obama to withdraw the Justice Department's brief against Arizona in the Supreme Court and put the federal government back in the business of enforcing our immigration laws. Take Action Now! Click to Send a fax or an e-mail!

Border Security = Hate Speech

by Gary Bauer, Contributing Author: The Fairness Doctrine may be making a comeback in the closing days of 2010. Thirty groups recently urged the Federal Communications Commission to crack down on “hate speech” on the Internet, talk radio and cable television that is “masquerading as news.”

As you might expect, the usual suspects on the Left – groups like the United Church Of Christ, Inc., Rainbow Push Coalition, LULAC, etc. – are part of this effort. Other organizations involved have innocuous sounding names like the Center For Media Justice, Free Press and the Media Justice League. But they are all part of the leftwing movement that seeks to silence dissent by undermining the First Amendment.

Not satisfied with a near monopoly on the media, they want to shut down conservative voices on the air by defining conservative views as “hate speech.” What is particularly disturbing is that their 25-page petition specifically cited the passage of Arizona’s new anti-illegal immigration law as a reason for the FCC to impose draconian new rules on talk radio, the Internet and cable TV.

According to the group’s recent petition, “hate, extremism and misinformation have been on the rise, and even more so in the past week as the media has focused on Arizona’s passage of one of the harshest pieces of anti-Latino legislation in this country’s history, SB 1070.” The petition goes on to describe the Arizona law as “some of the most backward-sliding legislation that has existed since freed-slaves were forced to show their papers in the 1800s.”

Let me repeat this again: The Arizona law is no different than current federal law, which requires that legal residents carry proof of their status “at all times.” It has been reported that California has a very similar, if not identical, law as Arizona, but it just doesn’t enforce it.

Now, here’s some perspective on just how disconnected these groups are from the rest of America. Quinnipiac University yesterday released the results of a new national survey of registered voters on Arizona’s new law. Here are some key findings:
  • By a 20-point margin (51% to 31%) voters approve of Arizona’s new law.
  • By a 13-point margin (48% to 35%) they want their own state to pass a similar law.
  • By a 40-point margin (66% to 26%) voters want “immigration reform to move in the direction of stricter enforcement” rather than amnesty.
  • And, finally, by a 64-point margin (76% to 12%) voters oppose boycotts of Arizona in protest of the law.
If you were running for elected office today, who would you be listening to: the 30 leftwing groups that equate border security with hate speech or the vast majority of the American people? Unfortunately, the Obama Administration has made it clear that it is siding with the radical activist groups against the people of Arizona and most Americans.

The Obama White House and the liberal Democrats in Congress have also made it clear that they intend to push their radical agenda as far and as fast as they can while they can. That means we must be extra vigilant in the next 153 days to guard against any steps by the FCC to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine or anything close to it.

After the elections, conservatives in Congress must make it a priority to protect and defend the First Amendment rights of all Americans from Big Government and leftwing political activists. Of course their success – and our liberty – depends on conservatives winning big majorities on November 2nd.
